A saccharine smile!!! What a great choice of words! Poems should be enacted, brought into being, lived out by the reader. It certainly left me with a "saccharine smile". lol
This seems to be one of you more powerful poems. I really got an image as I read. And ditto on the great title. The rhyme at the end works, too.
