Standing In Sand
I wrote this last summer on the shores of the Caribbean Sea. (Yes, I realize I was wrong now about the whole love thing, but it was learning experience. That's all life really is, isn't it?)

As far as construction, I really like the meter and the pacing. Gives a very firm and direct feel. Sort of that "this is truth" feeling when those feelings are felt. As far as subject matter, is it a bad thing that these feelings sometimes only last a season? Do they return? Awhile ago (2005) someone wrote me a little journal about how they liked me and a year later (2006) when I asked whether or not she still felt that way she had forgotten that she wrote the thing at all, which actually pissed me off! lol
